Corrugated rooflights are rolled using a composite material known as glass-reinforced plastic (GRP), which is also known as Fiberglass in the US. This fibre-reinforced polymer roofing sheet is reinforced by fine fibres made of class, which also make the material transparent, allowing light to pass through. This makes it a perfect composite for rooflight roofing sheets, as they have the strength required, whilst allowing light into the building from outside.
