Plastic crowd barriers, alternatively known as pedestrian barriers, feature a width of 2.0m and a height of 1.1m. These safety barriers are equipped with feet and effortlessly interconnect using a straightforward hook-and-eye system.
The plastic crowd barriers, or plastic ped barriers, provide an innovative solution for effectively managing busy public spaces such as festivals, marathons, and events. Crafted from recyclable blow-moulded high-density polyethylene, these plastic barriers exhibit exceptional durability and strength. Unlike rigid steel crowd control barriers, plastic crowd barriers possess a greater degree of flexibility. This characteristic enables them to withstand significant weight and absorb pressure due to their slight give.
By employing a dual hook and eye system, these plastic barriers seamlessly link together, facilitating the creation of a robust fence line with ease. This user-friendly design streamlines installation, resulting in reduced time and costs. Once interconnected, the barriers form an imposing structure, perfectly suited for guiding pedestrian traffic and effectively managing large crowds. During periods of non-use, the barrier feet are rotated to a parallel position, allowing the plastic barriers to stack neatly on top of each other. With a mere 150mm gap underneath, as opposed to the 250mm gap found in steel barriers, these plastic safety barriers effectively prevent children from crawling underneath and becoming trapped. Furthermore, plastic crowd barriers pose a lower risk of injury to children due to their softer composition and absence of sharp edges commonly found on steel pedestrian or crowd control barriers.
Our plastic pedestrian barriers are available in the standard 'space grey' colour, while we also offer a high-visibility orange variant. For alternative colour options, kindly reach out to our team, who will assist you with your specific requirements. Depending on the desired colour, minimum production runs typically range from 200 to 400 units. We maintain a constant stock of plastic safety barriers, which can be conveniently ordered for next-day delivery if necessary. Distribution is conducted in pallet loads, accommodating a maximum of 40 barriers per pallet.
The barriers come equipped with fitted feet as standard, but if you wish to replace them, simply disconnect the existing feet and easily attach new ones. Additional feet can also be purchased as needed.
