Mobile Access Platforms - Unloading Safety Decks

Mobile Access Platforms are the number one choice for easy and safe loading and unloading of objects from the rear entrance of lorry trailers. The lack of a loading bay can be a common issue when loading or unloading trailers. This is a constant concern for those working in the logistics and haulage industry as working without a loading bay increases the chances of accident or injury. Mobile-Access Platforms reduce the chances of accident or injury by making the loading and unloading process easier and safer in a simple yet highly effective way.

Mobile Access Platforms With Rungs act as a small working platform that allows the user to rest the load on top of the platform while using the small ladder or steps present to mount or dismount the platform safely. The Mobile Access Platforms are made from prime steel and are designed to withstand bulk loads, boasting an impressive max load capacity of 800 kg on the standard wheels supplied. If a higher maximum load capacity is required, the optional heavy-duty wheels can increase the capacity to 1200 kg. Each Mobile Trailer Loading Platform can be ordered with wheels with brakes or with jacking legs for use with forklift trucks.

The Access-Platforms also have the option to be supplied with wind-down legs which are fitted to each corner of the platform. This allows for the Loading Platforms to be used on uneven surfaces through the raising of individual corners. HERMEQ recommends against using all four wind-down legs at once as they are not intended to be used together to act as a height adjustment. Optional adjustable height platform legs can also be added to the platform to allow the Lorry Access Mobile Loading Platform to meet the height requirements necessary to be used successfully with any trailer regardless of trailer height. The adjustable height increments must be decided before purchase and can be discussed through contact with the HERMEQ team. The Mobile-Access Platforms come with a standard blue finish but have an optional galvanised zinc finish available to further protect the platforms from rust, potentially adding up to thirty years to the product life when used outdoors.
The protection of the Lorry Trailer Mobile Unloading Platform can be increased even further with rubber buffer bumper strips bolted to the open faces of the platform. This protects the platform from damage from forklift masts when in use.

To accommodate the use of forklifts with the Mobile Access Platforms, the Mobile Platforms have the option to have forklift pockets attached beneath the platform. Although the platform can be lifted using a forklift truck or telehandler without the addition of forklift pockets, HERMEQ encourages the use of pockets to safely secure the platform in place during the relocation process. Security of the platform when in use has also been taken into consideration with the option of securing chains available upon request. Securing chains prevent the Mobile Access Platform from moving away from the trailer while in use once they are wrapped around the trailer and platform.
Lift-off platform bridging ramps and hinged platform bridging ramps are also available upon request. Bridging ramps make the process of loading and unloading items easier and safer by bridging the gap between trailer and platform, providing a small incline that allows cages to be wheeled on and off them effortlessly.
