Cherry Tree Protection Netting has been designed to protect the growth of cherry trees during blossom, stoning and fruit ripening periods due to their vulnerability during harsh weather conditions such as frost, rain, hail and wind.
This protection netting is suspended above the cherry trees on a simple post and wire support structure and can be quickly drawn when shelter is required. The netting has been manufactured with a unique fabric and specialised fixings to provide the optimum balance between handling, wind resistance and protection.

This protection fabric has been designed over an eight-year period undergoing independent field trials with leading industry cherry tree growers and in consultation with FAST to produce a market-leading premium product.
The fabric is a clear, breathable material that is easy to handle with a low shade factor – with a high degree of UV stabilisation to protect against sunlight, our Cherry Tree Protection Netting has a long lifespan of many years.
The unique properties the fabric has been manufactured with offers unrivalled performance through all types of weather conditions. When the cover has been attached and set up it creates a micro-climate without hindering ventilation to give excellent weather protection to improve your growth quality and yield.
Side protection is also provided for further climate control against rain and hail to prevent cracking to allow growers to wait until fruit is fully ripe before harvesting. This gain in weight and sugar content is significant when fruit is left on the tree until optimum size.
We have three additional extras which can be ordered with your Protection Netting. A bungy is connected to the running support wires and used as a shock absorber when strong winds occur to minimise the risk of the cherry cover being torn. Eyelets are used so you can tie the bungy cord to the cherry cover system and S/S clips allow you to clip the cherry cover system to the running wires with the bungy cord as well. These only need to be purchased as spares or replacements.
