Armco Barrier Systems are used as off highway solutions for the safety of the public, traffic segregation and protection of property from moving vehicles. Armco Crash Barriers are commonly found in car parks, factories, industrial sites and warehousing facilities as a highly robust protection barrier.
The main component of Armco Barrier systems is the Straight Corrugated Beam which is available in two lengths – 3.2m and 1.6m. Selecting a 1.6m beam will produce a more robust barrier as more posts will be required to support the beams. These long lasting beams have been manufactured using mild steel to BS EN 1461 standards and are 3mm thick.
Either Bolt Down or Dig-In Posts will be used to support your Corrguated Beams. RSJ Posts are our most popular option offering greater protection from impact and are suitable for areas with high traffic volume. Z Posts are the more lightweight post option and have been designed to take the sting out of impact when a collision occurs with a vehicle and are suitable for lower risk traffic areas.
Posts are used to maintain a strong barrier system and can either be bolted into concrete or dug into the ground. Dig-In Posts are an excellent solution for installing Armco Crash Barriers into softer geound where bolting the system would not be appropriate. Bolt Down Posts are more suitable for installing your system onto concrete to provide a solid system to avoid digging holes into the ground.
Ends to your barrier system are also available which are placed at the end of a run of barriers – we have Fish Tail Endsand Pedestrian Safety Ends. Fish Tail Ends are normally applied to a barrier which is used in an area of high levels of vehicular activity. Pedestrian Safety Ends have been designed with no sharp edges and are commonly used around doorways, entrances and more pedestrianised areas for enhanced safety.
Barrier Corners are used to fit the needs of your site and are available at right angles and custom-made corner angles. Our 90 degree angle corners come as internal and external barrier components depending on what your corner requires.
In addition to the components you select for your Armco Crash Barrier system, we also provide the bolts you will require.
M16 x 35mm Lap Bolts to attach each beam to each other.
M16 x 50mm Post Bolt to attach each beam to a post.
M16 x 120mm Floor Anchor Bolts to bolt your Bolt Down Posts into the ground.
