This range of Geomats provides you with a three-dimensional synthetic erosion control solution for permanent reinforcement to the grass-root matrix for permanent surface erosion protection.
Ideal for situations where vegetation requires permanent assistance to protect the ground from weather and water erosion – the densely fused strands will imitate the role of a root matrix to bind and trap soil particles as well as fertile humus to reinforce the soil.
GeoMats also enable the rapid development of vegetation with filaments offering long-term support to the plant root matrix assisting them to resist undermining due to erosion.
GeoMats are typically used on sites where established vegetation cannot resist erosion – this includes riverbanks, drainage channels and steep slopes. The extruded polypropylene monofilament or stitched net construction effectively provide soil reinforcement.
