This Woven Geotextile Fabric is used in ground engineering to provide separation, reinforcement, filtration and stabilisation primarily in road construction and groundworks applications. All of our Geotextiles Fabrics comply with the Department of Transport Clause 609 specification for road and earthwork applications.

Separation – Geotextile Fabrics control subsidence by preventing your hard core foundation from mixing with underlying soft ground which hinders the pumping of fine particles into the opener aggregate. Fabrics dramatically improve the effectiveness of vibro-compaction by restricting the movement of the coarse top stone during the consolidating process behaving like a drum skin. The lowest road layers will be stronger as they will be more tightly compacted. Minimises the need for ground excavation enabling work to proceed in adverse weather.
Filtration – geotextiles will aid the quick and reliable drainage of the sub-base. Permeable fabrics allow the free flow of water and filter out fine particles which ultimately clog the aggregate layer. This ensures long-term drainage performance and prevents a build-up of hydraulic pressure.
Reinforcement – its high tensile strength and frictional resistance provides support to vehicles distributing loads over a wider area, controlling rutting and reducing ground stressing.
